Company description

Obviously AI is a no-code tool that enables anyone to quickly build and run AI models without writing code. Since launching in 2020, Obviously Al has reached 3,000+ users, delivered 82,000 prediction models, and saved 12.8 million hours of data work. It is included in the top 8 no-code tools in 2020 according to the Data Science Awards, and mentioned as a recommended no-code Al tool by Forbes.

Project overview and features

Some time ago, we made an animated video for Obviously Al. Since then, the product has changed and a new function has been added, so the client needed an updated video. We were approached to create a video that would match the brand's new color palette and show the Time Series feature. Additionally, the client requested us to make another version of the video with Japanese voiceover.

Client’s goals and requirements

  • Tell about the product effectively without complicated terminology
  • Introduce newcomers to a new feature
  • Increase website conversion rate
  • Improve the average time on the site
  • Create snappy and captivating characters
  • Follow the updated corporate colors and style
  • Make a version with Japanese voiceover

Business objectives

  • The main objective was to present a no-code solution that is market-targeted and really amazing. As the company works with machine learning and AI, this is usually considered to be a super-complex area only for high-level pros. And that’s why it was so great when the client released a no-code solution that almost anyone could use.
  • The video was going to be placed on the client’s website. Therefore, it was important to make the video notable at first glance. As for the duration, it was decided to make a 60-second video in order to have enough time to explain the product without making the video too long.

Work done

The production of the video took 4 months, during which we:

  • Managed to explain everything in an understandable to non-tech-savvy people way
  • Designed unique characters that added liveliness to the video
  • Completed all stages of video production in time
  • Adjusted some of the administrative things for the client’s ease
  • Aligned the video style with the company’s new guidelines

User roles

8 people animation team, including:

  • Creative Strategist proposed the most beneficial options for implementing the client's requests.
  • Producer tracked the project’s progress, controlled human resources and deadlines.
  • Art director managed creative processes, suggested visual solutions, and created a storyboard.
  • Scriptwriter created a crystal clear narrative, not overloaded with terminology.
  • Illustrator designed the characters, locations and other graphic elements.
  • 2 animators combined all the illustrations and created a live video universe.
  • Sound designer added depth to the video with music and sounds.
